Biblical Preaching and Teaching, Mission Minded Community in Christ

A Congregational Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, November 16th after worship.  We will elect church officers and give a preliminary report on the budget for 2009.  All members of Cedarville United Presbyterian Church are encouraged to attend.  Guests are welcome.

Welcome

Welcome to the Cedarville United Presbyterian Church website.  We've been expecting you.  God is busy here and we invite you to join our growing Cedarville United family for worship, study, small groups, missions and ministry.  This site has been designed to inform members, friends and visitors of what we're about, who we are, and what's coming up.  We aspire to be rooted in Jesus Christ through a common faith, biblical worship, authentic community and helping to fulfill the Great Commission with our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world.

We'll save a seat for ya!

5 Years and Not an Inch Taller

As you might imagine, I grew a lot when I was younger. I was 5’2” by third grade, 6’0” by sixth grade, 6’5” by eighth grade and 6’9” by my junior year in high school. That is a lot of growing! I topped out at 19 inches in eight years to be almost exact. Well, on November 9th, I will mark the 5th anniversary of being your pastor, and believe it or not, it has been five years now and I have not grown an inch.
The truth is I stopped growing a long time ago. The only inches I am gaining are around my waist. So, while I might not be growing in inches, I am certainly growing in other ways. I want to thank the Lord, my wife and kids and my church family for that. You have helped me grow as a Pastor, leader, husband, father and friend. Proverbs says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another” (Proverbs 27:17). Thank you! I know I have not always been what you need. I understand that my weaknesses have gotten in the way at times. But I hope my weaknesses and strengths have been what God has wanted in a pastor for this congregation. I know He called me and my family to be here, and He called us all to be this local church in Cedarville together. I am proud of what we have accomplished together so far with God’s help. Now, I look forward to what He will continue to do through us.
            Thanks for everything,
            Pastor Drew
