Biblical Preaching and Teaching, Mission Minded Community in Christ
Welcome!
Welcome to the Cedarville United Presbyterian Church website. We've been expecting you. God is busy here and we invite you to join our growing Cedarville United family for worship, study, small groups, missions and ministry. This site has been designed to inform members, friends and visitors of what we're about, who we are, and what's coming up. We aspire to be rooted in Jesus Christ through a common faith, biblical worship, authentic community and helping to fulfill the Great Commission with our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world.
A Word from our Pastor ~ A Big Prayer Request
Your local area ministry association, a group of representatives from the churches in the Cedar-Cliff area, has a big vision that we ask you to support with your prayers. The vision is for a local ministry center that would house the food pantry, the clothing closet, and a free clinic. The center would also serve as the home base for our new Parish Nursing program and also regular community youth events.
There is a consensus of enthusiastic support from all the members of the ministry association. Also, everyone we have talked to likes the idea too. Now, we just ask for your prayers as we venture off into the unknown ahead. We are currently looking at local spaces that might work for housing the ministry center.Of course, we are also discussing various ways to fund this project too.
Our local churches have taken very big strides in recent years working together for Christ. This is an example of that.Imagine a ministry center where we could accomplish all these important community ministries together!May God bless this new journey as we walk forward step by step in faith.

The BEAUTIFICATION committee has met twice and is excited to begin work! We have identified the purpose of the committee to be twofold. First, our facility should glorify God. It is His House and it should be loved and maintained as such. We will be taking a look around to identify areas that need to be cleaned, updated, or simply made more attractive. Be on the lookout for the new and improved! Second, we want to be sure our church is current in functionality and “user friendly” for guests in order to be comfortable and welcoming to newcomers.
This is definitely a group effort. If you are interested in joining, please contact Jennifer Elling. If meetings are not your thing, please consider making a financial contribution towards our work. Some updates will be free/inexpensive, but there will definitely be some that will require funding. We will also be planning work events in which to accomplish our goals where your help would be much appreciated!
Our project recommendations will be submitted to the Trustees and work will begin after their approval. We have already received approval for several projects, so keep your eyes open for this exciting way to compliment the ministries of this church!
We are beginning the process of evaluating our Bread & C.U.P program. There is a strong core group of folks interested in contemporary worship. We may even be ready to do something on Sunday morning. Of course, we will continue our regular, traditional service. The worship committee will oversee a prayerful discernment process from here regarding new opportunities for more contemporary worship outside of the regular, traditional service. If you are interested in helping out with this discernment, please call Kent Campbell or Pastor Drew. Join us on March 21 at 5:30pm for a St. Patrick’s Day theme so wear your green! Bring a dish to share!
The Men’s Fellowship Group is continuing our study of the book of Galatians. We now have six regular members that meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays at 8am. at Beans N Cream. The meetings last for about an hour. Join us and bring a friend on March 6th and 20th.
Women In Motion continues to meet Thursdays from 1:00-3:00pm at CUPC.We are just finishing up a study on stress titled, Running Nowhere in Every Direction. Our next study will be a character study on Mary, mother of Jesus titled, Unafraid by Francine Rivers. It is a biblical novel about her call from God to be the mother of Our Lord. This is an excellent read and timely as we approach Easter. We will see all of the Easter events through her eyes, learning much from her faithfulness.Plan on joining us!!Contact Beki Ryan for more information.
Covenant Class - The Covenant Class will be dining at the Clifton United Presbyterian Church’s Spaghetti Dinner on March 20th. Tickets are $8.00 per person. Please see Carol Moore for more details.
